Hasolon couplings work on simple ‘push & pull' principal. The adopter when pushed into the coupler is securely held by the self locking arrangements, resulting in a positive and leak-proof connection. This action simultaneously opens the valve and the fluid flow starts. To disconnect, pull back the sleeve of the coupler, the adaptor rejects out and the valve shuts off automatically.

Connection and Disconnection
In the case of connection, the balls in the socket become free when the sleeve is slid in the direction of the arrow. 1 When the sleeve 3 is released after the plug 2 has been fully inserted in to the socket with the sleeve 3 still held back, the sleeve is returned to its origional position by a spring, and balls enter the ball grooves of the plug, completing.
In the case of disconnection, the balls become free when the seleeve is slid in the direction of the arrow 1, permitting easy separation of plug and socket.
Coupler Handling Precautions 1. Avoid connecting and disconnecting the coupler when pressure is applied to preclude possible accident. Connection and disconnection of TYPE-SC Coupler is possible, however when pressure is applied.
2. Coupler has been designed to insure complete safety, however avoid subjecting it to shock. Handle with care when connecting and disconnecting in Piping applications.
3. Remove foreign matter from the fluid with a filter beforehand, If foreign matter is mixed in the fluid, operation of the internal valve will be adversely effected causing leakage.
4. Do not weld the coupler directly to panels and fixtures, This damages the internal seal causing leakage and imperfect flow.
5. When disconnecting the coupler in dusty and sandy locations, always use the specified dust cap.
6. Never tap the valve section with a hammer, etc, to bleed residual pressure.
